Meet Andre Joutz
Mar 24, 2025

Position: Regional Service Supervisor
Years with Rees: 3 Years
Fun Fact: I love to cook. I started out with Italian and Mexican recipes and currently branched out to Middle Eastern and Thai cuisine.
Something I’ve always wanted to learn: I have always wanted to learn to skydive or base-jump.
Why did you join the Rees Team?
I joined Rees because I have always had an interest in electronics. Calibrations would be a new field for me and I found that exciting. I was also excited to be able to travel.
Describe any work experience or training you had prior to your employment at Rees.
Before Rees, I worked mostly in Industrial Automation and Smart Automation. I have worked low voltage most of my adult life and have worked in Machining and CNC. My strong background in electronics has aided me in troubleshooting and my background in CNC and assembly design has helped develop a good sense of mentally viewing an entire system layout.
How has your role evolved since you joined Rees?
I started out as a field technician. I currently work as the Regional Service Supervisor for the NIH Region and I assist the Quality, Project Management, and Training Teams. I really enjoy working with others to problem solve so this is a welcome expansion of duties.
Tell us about a favorite memory from working at Rees.
My favorite memory working at Rees happened a few weeks ago at a new installation project where we were implementing a product design for the first time in company history. With great support from Engineering, we made a simple fix and everything immediately worked 100%. It was very satisfying to walk through the customer's entire facility and have everything work exactly as expected.
What are some of the Rees products or services that have received positive feedback from the customers you interact with?
I have had multiple customers expound on how much they really appreciate the new protocols and calibration methods. A customer specifically spoke at length on how much the new paperwork has improved their quality standards.
How do you envision the future of Rees in terms of growth, innovation and impact?
I think Rees is uniquely positioned as a product company that, for its industry, uniquely has a service team. We are rapidly evolving with new methodologies and I envision a lot of growth as we manifest this evolution.
