Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Fun Fact: I have been on two mission trips with an organization called World Missions Alliance.

Something I’ve always wanted to learn: I have always wanted to learn a new language and how to grow my own fruits and vegetables.

Why did you join the Rees Team?
I was excited to join Rees because I saw it as a great opportunity to grow alongside the company. I was eager to be involved in upcoming changes and contribute to the process improvements that would come with it. 

Describe any work experience or training you had prior to your employment at Rees.
Before joining Rees, I spent 12 years in finance, working in a variety of roles including Bookkeeper, Credit Manager, and in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. My experience spans across companies of different sizes, from small businesses to large corporations. This diverse background has given me a well-rounded understanding of financial operations and equipped me with the skills to adapt quickly, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute effectively in my current role.

How has your role evolved since you joined Rees?
Since joining Rees, my role has evolved significantly as I've been entrusted with new responsibilities and given opportunities to grow. I've taken on a more active role in supporting team initiatives, mentoring new employees and helping build a knowledgeable team environment. I've also collaborated across departments to support cross-functional initiatives. This has allowed me to broaden my perspective and contribute more strategically to the company's goals.

Tell us about a favorite memory from working at Rees.Rees Accounting Team watching the solar eclipse
Some of my favorite memories at Rees happen every day. I genuinely enjoy working alongside my coworkers, even when we're under pressure, we manage to maintain a positive, uplifting atmosphere and never forget to share a laugh. One standout moment was April 8, 2024, when we all stepped outside, scanning a cloudy sky in hopes of catching a glimpse of the solar eclipse. Even though the view was mostly hidden, the shared experience and laughter made it a day to remember.

What are some of the Rees products or services that have received positive feedback from the customers you interact with?
In my role, I don't typically receive feedback on Rees products. However, I believe customers value the improvements we've made to our invoicing process, such as updated terms, timely invoice submissions, and the responsive support they receive when they have questions or concerns.
