Kristie Naulty

Position: Marketing & Content Coordinator

Years with Rees: 12 Years

Fun Fact: I love crafting and creating just about anything, from shirts and scrapbooks to glass etching and balloon arches. You name it, I’ve probably tried it! I even used to have a small business selling some of my creations online, but I quickly learned that crafting for money takes some of the fun out of it. Now I’m much happier just making things because I enjoy it.

Something I’ve always wanted to learn or try: My standard answer to this question has always been to learn a second language, but lately I think I’d change my answer to writing a book. I have no idea what I’d write about yet, but I’d love to try my hand at it someday and see where it goes.

Why did you join the Rees Team?

I joined Rees fresh out of college while looking for a job that would get me started in the marketing field. My brother-in-law introduced me to his father, who worked in Marketing at Rees, and at the time, they were looking for someone to help with a new Inside Sales Support role. After learning more about Rees and the industry, I thought it sounded like an interesting opportunity and a good way to learn how Sales and Marketing work together. It gave me the chance to start my career and eventually grow into the marketing role I have today.

Describe any work experience or training you had prior to your employment at Rees and how it has helped your current role.

Before joining Rees, I had a few internships in marketing and business development while I was in college, which gave me some experience to build on. Since Rees was my first full-time job after graduating, I came in eager to learn and gain as much hands-on experience as possible.

How has your role evolved since you joined Rees?

My role at Rees has changed quite a bit over the years. I started in Inside Sales Support, where I helped cover open sales territories, provided quotes, and worked with our Sales team and customers on a daily basis. Over time, I transitioned more into Marketing, starting with social media and eventually taking on more of our content creation and graphic design. Today, my role is much more focused on Marketing and content, but my Sales experience has given me a better understanding of our customers and the business as a whole. Rees has been a big part of my professional growth, giving me the opportunity to learn, take on new challenges, and find where my strengths and interests fit best.

Tell us about a favorite memory from working at Rees.

It’s hard to choose just one favorite memory because most of mine are really about the little moments with the people I’ve worked with over the years. Whether it’s dancing at holiday parties, dressing up for costume contests, sitting around at lunch laughing about something completely ridiculous, or watching the snow fall outside and hoping we’d get sent home early, those are the moments that stand out to me. It’s less about what we were actually doing and more about the people and all the laughs we’ve shared along the way.

What are some of the Rees products or services that have received positive feedback from the customers you interact with? What did the customers have to say about those products or services?

When I worked in Sales Support, I spoke with customers pretty regularly, and now in Marketing I still get to hear a lot of their feedback. Over the years, one of the things I’ve heard most often is how much customers appreciate our Sales & Service teams and having someone who is familiar with their systems. I’ve also heard positive feedback about how dependable our monitoring is and the different options customers have, from customized systems to services like temperature mapping.

How do you envision the future of Rees in terms of growth, innovation and impact?

I have seen Rees change a lot during my time here, and I think there are still plenty of opportunities to continue doing so through new technology and services. I envision Rees continuing to grow and make an even bigger impact in the industries we serve. As we evolve, I think investing in our employees, giving them opportunities to grow, and making sure they feel valued will be an important part of that progress. I’m looking forward to seeing where new ideas take us and how the people behind them continue to shape Rees’ future.
