Why did you join the Rees Team?
I was looking for a company I could build a career with. The funny thing is, I thought this would be a short-term position while I looked for something with less travel. As it turned out, this position and the people I worked with was a perfect fit for me. I enjoy what we do as field technicians and working with different customers every day and week.
Describe any work experience or training you had prior to your employment at Rees.
I worked for IBM as a technician in the large main-frame computer division for many years. After that I managed a large print department for Charles Schwab Investments. I even worked on elevators for a small independent contractor for a few years just prior to taking the position with Rees. All that technical experience, of course, helps with the hardware side of my position but I also feel comfortable working with the customer to meet their needs by training, educating or problem solving.
Tell us about a favorite memory from working at Rees.
I could say when I was assigned work in Germany, South Korea, Guam and the UK which was very exciting but I think my favorite memory was a few years ago when several of us field techs happened to be in the same city working different projects. We came together one night for dinner and laughs.
What are some of the Rees products or services that have received positive feedback from the customers you interact with?
Our Cloud Services are a big hit with customers. Especially those people responsible for responding to alarms after hours or on the weekends. They love the easy access to their system from anywhere without the need to VPN onto their company's network.
How do you envision the future of Rees in terms of growth, innovation and impact?
I assume with our history and past success, our growth is inevitable. With our hiring of such talented technical people at all levels of our company we are producing tools and processes that better meet the needs of a very demanding industry. Rees Scientific is impacting companies around the world and I'm proud to be a part of it.
