Position: Field Service Execution Lead
Years with Rees: 6 Years
Fun Fact: I'm a big nerd with a passion for collecting and preserving retro video games and systems.
Something I’ve always wanted to learn: I have always wanted to try blacksmithing. I've dabbled with it some with a friend who does it for a living and it's always been fun and fascinating to me. I would love to maybe start crafting knives as a hobby.
Why did you join the Rees Team?
I came back to work for Rees because I enjoyed the work. I enjoy interacting with the customers to ensure that their monitoring and quality needs are being met. I also missed the family-like camaraderie of being a part of the South East Team under Mark Collier's leadership.
Describe any work experience or training you had prior to your employment at Rees.
I had worked for Rees once before but in between I worked in IT systems as a system admin for a company and then for a small firm handling multiple clients' IT infrastructures and needs.
How has your role evolved since you joined Rees?
Over the past 2 years I've been part of a project management initiative, as well as learned how to do temperature mapping and more in-depth IQ/OQ/PQ procedures. I've enjoyed learning and seeing how these options can better serve our customers’ needs.
Tell us about a favorite memory from working at Rees.
I'm not sure I have any one specific standout but it is always fun to visit new places and see what kind of local hidden gems exist in the area, on top of some of the unique clients we have and being able to visit and see places most people wouldn't get a chance to. I remember going into the BSL-4 labs at one of our client locations for their annual visit, and seeing the airlocks and procedures needed. I don't believe very many people have had a chance to experience that.
What are some of the Rees products or services that have received positive feedback from the customers you interact with?
For me, my experience with temperature mapping stands out. I feel that customers really appreciated our company being able to take care of some of their other QA needs on top of the normal monitoring we do most.
